6 Days Istanbul & Cappadocia Pre/Post Cruise Tour

Welcome to Istanbul! Upon your arrival in Istanbul, a friendly driver will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel.

Following breakfast, set out on a guided exploration of Istanbul, the fascinating city that connects Europe and Asia. Visit the magnificent Topkapi Palace, once home to Ottoman sultans, and see the legendary Hagia Sophia from outside (interior visit not included). Continue to the elegant Blue Mosque and the historic Hippodrome, where chariot races once thrilled ancient crowds. Conclude the day browsing the colorful lanes of the Grand Bazaar, one of the world’s oldest and largest covered markets.

After breakfast, continue discovering Istanbul with visits to some of its most atmospheric landmarks. Explore the elegant Rüstem Paşa Mosque, renowned for its exquisite Iznik tiles, then stroll through the lively Spice Bazaar, filled with colorful spices, sweets, and local delicacies. Later, enjoy a scenic Bosphorus cruise, sailing between Europe and Asia while admiring waterfront palaces and historic mansions along the shoreline.

• Following the tour, transfer to Istanbul Airport for your flight to Cappadocia. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel.

Today you'll meet your guide at the hotel and start your day in Cappadocia.

The tour begins at Göreme Panorama, where you’ll take in stunning views of Göreme Village and its iconic fairy chimneys. Next, explore the Göreme Open Air Museum, a vast monastery complex carved into the rock, followed by a visit to Ortahisar, a quaint village famed for its towering rock castle and cave storage sites.

Continue to Pasabag, also known as the Fairy Chimney Valley, where you’ll admire the area’s signature mushroom-shaped rock formations. Then head to Devrent Valley, a fascinating site where the natural rock shapes resemble animals and whimsical figures.

After a delightful lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll visit a riverside village along the Red River, Turkey’s longest, and enjoy a pottery demonstration at one of the traditional workshops, with the chance to try your hand at crafting your own piece. The day wraps up with a drive through Love Valley, offering spectacular scenery, before you’re transferred to your cave hotel in Cappadocia to relax and spend the night.

At around 10:00-10:15 am, your guide will pick you up from your hotel to embark on the Southern Cappadocia Tour. The journey begins with a visit to Uchisar Castle (viewed from the outside), the tallest fairy chimney that once served as a fortress.

Next, enjoy a scenic 4 km hike through the picturesque Red and Rose Valleys, uncovering hidden rock churches that provided sanctuary for early Christians. Continue to the ancient village of Cavusin, where you’ll explore centuries-old cave dwellings.

After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, head to Ozkonak Underground City, an intricate refuge carved into the earth for those seeking safety from invasions. Then, visit Pigeon Valley, where you can admire stunning views of Uchisar Castle and the iconic pigeon houses carved into the cliffs. Wrap up your tour at Three Beauties Valley, famous for its striking rock formations, vineyards, and postcard-worthy landscapes.

After breakfast, your memorable journey with us comes to an end. At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the airport in accordance with your flight departure time.
